On (nearly) the eve of Ratinaud French Cuisine‘s (2082 Gottingen Street, 446-8222) one-year anniversary, the north end cure for charcuterie cravings released some super exciting news for the new year. Unwrap your brand new 2013 calendar and put a big circle around January 26: It’ll be the first of many Kitchen Table dinners at Ratinaud, where a small group (minimum 10, maximum 12) can enjoy a mouth-watering French meal from start to finish, literally. This’ll all go down in the kitchen, of course, and will start with watching as owner and chef Frédéric Tandy works his magic through each step of a multi-course meal.
“The whole idea is to be immersed in the kitchen, and see the process by turning the kitchen into the chef’s table,” says Ratinaud’s Tom Crilley. He adds prices will depend on the number of courses and whether the menu leans towards fine dining or more rustic style. Ratinaud will be releasing more details and Saturday night dinner dates soon, so, if you’re interested in sitting your butt down at their big, beautiful kitchen table, stay in the loop by joining their mailing list. Also, they’ll be taking reservations at thekitchentable@ratinaud.ca.
Crilley also tells me that there are other special events in the works for 2013 too…potentially smaller, affordable weeknight meals. Ratinaud’s given us all of this good food news on its anniversary—as if there wasn’t already reason to celebrate.

This sounds great! Very similar to the Highland Drive Storehouse Sunday Dinners. I am interested to see how it compares.
Would they offer vegetarian options?
