Local surf shop Kannon Beach (20 Lake Shore Drive, Lawrencetown, 471-0025) is currently offering a shop membership for $99.99, with which the individual will be entitled to unlimited full-day surfboard and wetsuit rental from the day of purchase until April 30, 2012 (a sweet deal if you consider a single full-day rental goes for $30). There will also be special discounts on selected items for Kannon Beach cardholders throughout the membership term. “An opportunity like this has never been offered by a surf shop in this area before,” explains Kannon Beach rep Jenner Cormier. “And seems like an excellent way to promote the sport and make people aware that surfing is possible and also a growing sport in Canada.”
