Joanne David Accessories (1276 Barrington Street, 404-1276) is closing it’s doors on December 15 due to owner Joanne David— now Joanne Lawen—moving.
“I have much enjoyed the last five years at JDA Barrington, and a few at Spring Garden (handed over to Pink Mascara),” writes Lawen in an email to Shoptalk. JDA will have a Boxing Day sale before the holidays this year with sales of 50-70 percent off starting Dec. 1, liquidating mannequins, fixtures, jewellery displays and custom-made store props.
“JDA would like to thank its customers over the last five years and all the wonderful people who make Halifax a fashion destination spot for the East Coast,” she writes. “It has truly been a rewarding experience.” The runs through the first two weeks of December.
“For the FitFlop fans, not to worry, we have handed over the torch to Kick Ass Shoes—who will now carrying the popular brand.”
