Opening mid-month will be J&R Grimsmo (1533 Barrington Street), a women’s fashion boutique located in the Freemason’s building, ground floor, smack between Chives and E-PIN.
It will carry “a carefully curated blend of exciting new lines to Halifax, by designers that have been receiving great acclaim in the fashion media/industry,” explains co-owners Jessy Lacourciere and Rachael Grant in an email. “The styling is classic yet current for the modern, worldly woman.”
The lines are a 50/50 split between Canadian and US designers, including Dace, Betina Lou, Martin Lim, Henderson Drygoods, Lauren Moffatt and Heidi Merrick.
Though the exact opening day has yet to be announced, look for doors to swing wide after September 10. And check their web presence, coming soon at jandrgrimsmo.com.
