Queen Victoria will be 191 on Monday—and she’s still lookin’ good. We’re all thrilled about it, for the day off work many of us will enjoy. May 24 will be a Statutory Holiday for the feds—lucky bastards—but it’s not statutory for the rest of us. That said, it’s a holiday for most, while tourist-related businesses and museums will be open. The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic (1675 Lower Water Street, 424-7490), for example, is open 9:30am to 5:30pm. Biscuit General Store (1661 Argyle Street, 425-5436) will help you look more stylin’ from 12 noon to 6pm, and the Atlantic News (5560 Morris Street, 429-5468) doors will swing wide 10am to 6pm. Also, the Atlantic Superstore (6139 Quinpool Road, 425-1498 ) is open regular hours, 8am-10pm. (Oh, and incidentally, if your garbage gets picked up on Mondays, it will this week, too. )
