Angela Grace Arsenault has been busy all summer selling her wares—the eponymous Angela Grace Jewelry— throughout Nova Scotia. She started off at two coastal wineries, Avondale Sky and Luckett, for art festivals in June and July respectively.

This past Saturday brought Angela Grace Jewelry to the city to collaborate with Swaine Street Woodworking for a pop-up sale at The Designer Craft Shop. Arsenault’s series of showcases will conclude on the other side of the continent, with two very important trunk shows in October—first in LA, then San Francisco for a Society of North American Goldsmiths Symposium.

But first, TODAY from 4 to 8 pm, Arsenault will once again open her trunk, this time for a solo show. Head to J&R Grimsmo (1533 Barrington Street) where she will show off not one, but two new lines of jewellery and photos from her new look book. Along with this exciting reveal, there will be refreshments and a chance to win a pair of earrings from the new collection.

“This time I’ve decided to approach jewellery on a smaller scale. My pieces tend to be pretty large, which I still love, but I wanted to make something that was elegant and easy to wear but also a little bit edgy,” says Arsenault of her new work. “Also, you could wear a number of them at the same time if you wanted to. So, for example, with the bracelets, you could stack them up on your arm and same with the rings. The two lines stand alone but they also function really well together.”

If one show doesn’t satisfy your jewellery cravings, and you’re into the idea of a roadtrip, Arsenault heads to Cape Breton next Thursday for an evening at Caitlyn Purcell’s Salty Rose’s boutique. If you don’t feel like making the trek up to the highlands, don’t worry there’ll be one more taste at Arsenault’s beauties before she heads to Cali. On September 9th, Angela Grace Jewelry will join the work of 40 other crafters across the bridge at Two If By Sea for a pop-up shop from the creators of the Halifax Crafters.
