Shoptalk has learned that The Brewery Market (1496 Lower Water Street) has lost one of its longtime residents, City Deli Restaurant. After 29 years in business, owner John Claude Moraze says he’s retiring at age 73. “People said we had the best peach cake in Halifax,” he says. “How come The Coast never came down to visit? We didn’t need The Coast, that’s for sure.”
