Composting is a big deal here in town, with green bins everywhere. Some of us have figured out that in order to eliminate odours and the seasonal clouds of fruit flies, compost bins can live in the freezer. Here’s a specially designed silicone container that remains flexible in the freezer for easy storage and compost ejection. The first product from Vancouver-based Fuccillo Design, a company founded by 2009 NSCAD grads Salvatore Fuccillo and Jennifer MacEwan, is this Freezer Compost Bin, now available at Carbonstok (1235 Barrington Street, 404-7288) for $60.
