I have a piece in tomorrow’s Coast about the election for Halifax’s District 12— the district bounded by North, Robie and South streets and the Halifax Harbour. I interviewed each of the four candidates, and you can listen to each of the unedited interviews here:
Dawn Sloane, interviewed in her Creighton Street home. The bell sound at the beginning is her two belled cats hitting me up for affection.
Jerome Downey, interviewed at his Gottingen Street campaign headquarters.
James Stuewe, interviewed at Perk’s, next to the ferry terminal.
Cameron Ells, interviewed at Alter Egos on Gottingen Street.

Thanks for uploading the audio files. You certainly asked alot of good questions. You have every right to be cynical about council and governance. Your sentiments are shared by a large number of voters in the HRM who have become disenfranchised with local government.
