Coast analysis
When the new District 2 was created, there happened to be no sitting councillor living in it, so David Hendsbee up and bought a house in Lawrencetown to be a resident of the district. Hendsbee’s campaign is well-organized, but he’ll face stiff competition from Laurie Cook, who’s been with the Musquodoboit Rate Payers Association, and Will Gilligan, a Sheet Harbour resident who comes from an old labour family. Construction worker Jason Josey, from Marinette, is something of an unknown, to us anyway.
