Darrell’s Restaurant (5576 Fenwick Street, 492-2344) owner Dan Joseph knows about burgers. His Peanut Butter Burger has been at the tops of the The Coast’s Best of Food poll for ages, but he says if any burger can compete with the that one, it’s his new one—called the Hen Den Burger—inspired by a hot new trend in New York City of putting a fried egg on hamburger. Check this content list: bun, burger patty, cheddar, bacon, fried egg, chipotle mayo, romaine lettuce and guacamole. “It is fantastic,” says Joseph, whose garnered reviews from about a dozen people that have tried the fresh creation so far. “Everyone’s very excited about it.”
