Formerly Kokomo’s Family Restaurant, Clay West Bar & Grill (120 Susie Lake Crescent) opened a little over a week ago, offering an alternative and locally owned food destination in Bayers Lake’s big box eateries. Owner Jim Bardos and chef Adam Todd are providing all locally sourced meat for their menu of burgers, wings, sandwiches and more, with brunch served on the weekend.

In this day and age how in the name of Hell can you take a business serious that does not have a webpage.
I went there with two friends last night… the only good thing was our server.
One of us ordered a burger, it came uncooked… blood filled his plate when he squished it. Another burger was made with old meat, or pre-cooked… As was the replacement burger. I didn’t enjoy my food, but I decided I would take it home to see if my roommate liked it, and they didn’t bring it to me… And, there was apparently a banquet of sorts going on, which we were not informed of when arriving, so while we were waiting, we felt as though we couldn’t talk because of an ongoing speech…
On top of all of this, we were’t offered any compensation for the uncooked food, the old food, or the not satisfactory food. It is safe to say that I give this restaurant a 1/10 rating, and would never recommend it to anyone.
I had a really bad experience with this restaurant. We ordered burgers which were cold and barely seasoned. We also requested to substitute our fries for the mac n’ cheese. For four dollars, we received barely 1/4 of noodles with barely any cheese and even less flavor.
Additionally, we didn’t realize they “didn’t really do substitutions” (which we weren’t told until after the meal), which meant that for four dollars, we didn’t get any fries although technically we paid for them and a side dish which we barely touched.
When we brought this to their attention, the head waitress was very gracious and admitted that it was a silly policy.
Although the service was okay, the food at this place is seriously lacking. Overpriced and tasteless, I can’t see this being a successful restaurant. I would definitely not recommend it and would never return.
No stopped into today for BRUNCH. They no longer have BRUNCH, but still advertised that they do. : (
