Tarik Dugmag was looking to get into the cafe business and was considering being a franchisee for a larger brand, but as he was researching the possibilities, he changed his mind. “I decided to start on my own, to get experience.”
This is how Caffe Sospeso Plus (6214 Quinpool Road) came into being. The big attraction is coffee—supplied by Java Blend—especially Turkish coffee, as well as a selection of specialty coffees such as Cortado (espresso with warm milk) and Flat White (espresso with microfoam), which Dugmag explains is “stronger than a latte but lighter than a mocha.”
Also in house are baked goods and sandwiches, tea, smoothies and Italian sodas. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7am-10pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-10pm.

I tried the Turkish Coffee at Caffe Sospeso the other day and I was amazed by its taste in richness. The owner was so nice to me and my friends and he offered us warm brownies. I enjoyed it very much
