I’m on vacation, down in the states, so forgive me if this is already all over the news in Halifax— but I don’t see it on any of the media web sites.
I just got off the phone with Rick Howe, the talk show host for CJCH, 92 AM. Howe says that tomorrow (Friday) will be his last day on the air, as the station is moving over to the FM side of the dial, and “they’re not taking me with them.” Howe was told of the changes only yesterday afternoon.
I’ll follow this story in more detail when I get back to town (Monday).
Oh, I was talking with Howe because I was scheduled to be on his show next week. Because of the changes, that’s been moved up to today, at 11:10. Listen in, if you can.

Just another reason to give up totally on local radio. It was one of the few remaining radio stations I bothered to listen to around here. Looks like satellite radio for me since local radio isn’t fit to listen to for music or the lack of real radio personalities beyond morning shows (which in itself is thin,)
