The Dartmouth sports-bar Big Leagues (920 Cole Harbour Road 462-2721) has recently moved down the street from their location on Forest Hills Parkway into the Colby Village Shopping Centre.

Big Leagues takes over the space formerly used by the Colby Ale House, which is moving a few doors down in the same strip-mall.
Jamie Latter, who owns both businesses along with his brother Danny, says the move happened primarily because of landlord disputes.

The new Big Leagues is still settling in, but the doors are open. They’re working on a new menu and expect it to be on the tables in two weeks.

Latter says the new Colby Ale House will be a little more high-end than it used to be, in the style of a martini bistro. It’s set to open at the end of this week.

  1. I can hardly wait, an upscale bistro with 20 VLT’s and the Zombies they attract.
I think I will settle for Jamiesons .
    Good Luck.

  2. Colby Ale House has become a Bistro – the German food is gone. Nice new surroundings and a bit more upscale ~ and the (somewhat limited) menu is good. – It’s definitely worth going to but don’t expect it to be what it was if you’re looking for Schnitzel.
