After 12 months of CarShareHFX (2459 Agricola Street, 406-7439), general manager Peter Zimmer says the alternative-to-rental-car subscription service is growing in leaps and bounds. “We have more than 200 drivers in our nine cars,” says Zimmer. “We are signing up workplace memberships at all scales.” That means businesses such as BMO, Waterfront Development, Just Us! and Local Source Catering have all come aboard as members, and Zimmer is hoping more businesses in the new year will see the benefits of their hourly/daily basis car sharing model. Zimmer also points out that The Trail Shop has added roof racks to four of the vehicles, for the keen skier or anyone who needs to move anything big.
