You may have noticed that north end art gallery ( ( (Parentheses) ) ) Gallery & Art Projects disappeared from Plan B Merchants’ Co-op (2180 Gottingen Street) in December. Before mourning the loss of this great place for great art, exhale a big sigh of relief and hear this: Parentheses has a new home. Once some renovations are complete, co-owners/curators Kevin Lewis and Coast-contributor Dave Hayden will re-open one-year-old gallery on the same block as its former home. Parentheses will move into 2168 Gottingen Street, a space begging to be used (art lovers may recall when Rod Malay showed his work there early last fall, dubbing it Galleria Unplugged), and an accommodating venue for the art, music and multimedia events Lewis and Hayden are planning for the future. The re-birth of Parentheses is tentatively slated for March 6 , coinciding with the opening of a sculpture installation from Mark Whidden.
