When I walked into the grocery just over a week ago, I was devastated to find that I had dropped my wallet on the number four bus. To the person who decided not to turn in my wallet: you are a selfish, piece-of-shit coward. Have fun spending a poor person’s money and finding out what sort of relationships your moral deficit earns you in life. What a score that you found free money and didn’t have to work two jobs to earn it like I did. You could’ve at least turned in my ID, work ID, health card or bank card, or left it on the seat for a decent person to find. —Disappointed and Broke

The likelihood of that happening is fairly low; you’ll learn this as you age. Lower your expectations and all will be well with the world again.
Maybe it was someone worse off than you could ever be. Live & learn, me bucko.
Being worse off does not give anyone free license to poor character.
I too, cursed the finder of my lost bag for not returning my ID and camera card with its precious, irreplaceable memories. Then I realized that anyone who would take and keep something that didn’t belong to them, instead of doing the right thing by turning it in, is nothing more than a thief. Expecting a thief to have a conscience is not unlike trying to find hen’s teeth.
You shouldn’t never un-use double negatives.
