Why is it that every bus driver slams violently on the brakes every single time they approach a crosswalk, as if they’re encountering one for the very first time and aren’t quite sure what it is?

Sigh
It’s those damn plastic seats. They have no friction on them so you end up flying everywhere each tine the driver so much as sneezes on the brakes.
The seat design IS amazing
