Does it not bother people to the point of anger that:
1. The mayor of Canada’s biggest city, the “face of Canada” is a crack-smoking train wreck that won’t even deny the accusations?
2. The Senate has been funnelling money legally and illegally from public coffers for years and no-one bats an eye until the fat pig at the centre of the latest brouhaha runs his mouth off with self-incriminating statements, with no effort to even try to downplay or explain his actions?
3. That the government is tailoring jobs so that the only person “qualified” is an individual who donated tonnes of money to the governing party’s election?
4. That our taxes keep on going up and up to support all this shit? That we can’t even take home the money we work hard to earn, so that it can be redirected via taxes to the likes of Rob Ford, Stephen Harper, Mike Puffy, Pamela Wallan, and the lazy fucks whose permenant residences I drive by every day on my way to work yet they live “so far away” that they need to have a pied a terre in the city?

1) He’s Torontos mayor and quite frankly, better than they deserve. 2)The Senate has been a round a lot longer than Mike Puffy, Pam Wallass and the Harper majority. So has the culture of entitlement. Time to get rid of it. If the Party in power needs to reward it’s fart-sniffers – give them an Order of Canada. No investiture at Rideau Hall, either. Send them out regular mail. 3)It’s called patronage and, again, no one party has a monopoly on it. Try electing Mulcair and see how many tenured professors, social workers and grass-roots “activists” wind up being given postions that they are utterly incompetent to hold and control of monies that they are scarcely able to count. Better yet, look at New Scotlands example and learn. 4)This state of affairs has been going on since Trudeau inflicted his hilariously misnamed “Just Society” on us. Would you feel any better if your tax dollars were going to a third generation of self-entitled dole recipients? The parasites may be better dressed, but the mentality is the same. Of course we’re outraged. Of course we intend to “do something” about it. We’re going to annoint the first born of the Sun King and give him a couple of successive majorities. And fuck all is going to change.

So, while I’ll never vote for them, a liberal government may wind up being the best of a bad set of options. Watch the NDP morph into a sort of Bloc-Lite as they sacrifice principles to hold onto their Quebec seats. Watch the Greens grow in popular support as former Dippers decide that they prefer to separate their recyclables, not the nation. Watch Harper lead the Cons to one of the worst defeats since Campbell, and for the same reason. The gradual alienation of their own core sector of support.
