So at 10:10pm Thursday, June 8 I opened the door of a pizza location located to see if they had any “pizza to go.” Their website indicated they are open until 11pm but when I opened the door to their establishment I was greeted with an “Oh fuck off.” Now I am not a business major but I am pretty certain Business 101 says something like “…if you want to attract customers and build your business, don’t tell your customers to F off” or something like that. —Hungry

When workers get paid the legal minimum there’s no incentive for many of them to be hospitable or to work harder.. they’d rather you go away so they have less work to do
That’s pretty bad, I hope you contacted the manager/owner of that location. If I owned that business and that’s how one of my employees was greeting customers, I would want to know.

Someones wage isn’t necessarily indicative of their work ethic. I have worked in environments with highly educated, well paid employees who are lazy as f*ck and would only do the bare minimum to stay under the radar.
Conversely, I have witnessed people working their ass off and going beyond the expectations all while making minimum wage or slightly more.
The employee in this case simply sounds like he needed a little fireside chat on how business works.

That’s why their useless ass should be fired

I agree with your first 2 paragraphs but I doubt any fireside chat is gonna help this particular employee
