I was listening to the news half awake, and I heard about the new budget based on resolving the financial loss due to the scandal – it’s fucked.
Let me get this straight… we’re going to lose important municipal services because of some ass-hat buying accessories for their house? Wow that makes sense!
So, when a criminal steals money for their own purposes, he gets off and it’s usually the citizens that have to pay for his crimes?
DAMN, it’s our fault that you’re irresponsible and not worth trusting, and we must be fools for letting you have such a grown up job. I think “it” in “it’s f***ed” refers to “the budget”. OP is saying they are raising tax and cutting services to cover up the spending by MLA’s for personal stuff.
the thing is they’ll say whatever the f they can think of; basically there’s more going out than coming in 1+! = 2 not 3 someone has to pay guess who the taxpayer

Makes me wonder if Bishop Lahey didn’t draw up the budget. “WE fuck up; YOU get to pick up the tab”. I just want to point out that the spending scandal was with our Provincial MLAs and our municipal budget is the responsibilities of our city councilors.
And they’re both fucked with we the people digging deeper in our pockets.
