Drivers need to stop sneaking around the corner when the lights are all red and the walk sign is two seconds from turning one. WTF is so important that you don’t want to wait and let someone who is trying to get across the street cross? Just because the walk sign isn’t yet on is no excuse for trying to cheat the intersection. The street you are turning onto is RED not green. Be considerate an not an asshole.

Wait. It is legal to make a right turn on a red light. That’s not cheating. So you want cars that can and should turn to wait for the light to turn green so you can cross the street first? Just think about that for a minute. You probably get mad at walkers when you drive as well?
Dear Mad as Hell: I support you. The drivers at the head of a line of cars that think they can sneak around the corner in front of a pedestrian or pedestrians are leading the way for the whole line… this leaves the pedestrian (me at five corners… over and over again) standing in the middle of the road wearing a WTF face as driver after driver turns the corner because the light is green and everyone else is turning… Attention Lead Driver: COOL YOUR JETS! You are a pedestrians first line of defense. Be a hero and Draw That Line! People can be sheep. Many drivers just follow the pack. But, MAH, if you are sneaking across after the red numbers START counting down, you are wrong. Drivers can turn right on a red IF there are no pedestrians in the intersection, on the crosswalk. P.S. MAH, carry an umbrella or cane and stick it out ahead of you. Speedy folk hate to scratch their cars. Bodies are soft and sqishy and dont pose a threat to their paint job. The pointy stick frightens them. XoxH
