This goes out to the assholes who destroyed the handmade box and crafts that are posted on a poll across from the CBC radio building. People who take the time to make sweet crafts with kind messages on them and sell them anonymously is what makes this city interesting! —Pissed Off Person Who Appreciates Handmade Crafts

“People who take the time to make sweet crafts with kind messages on them and sell them anonymously is what makes this city interesting!”
I suppose that is one of the things. Never occurred to me. That sucks that now they can’t sell what they’ve created because someone chose to destroy it for no reason.
Years ago there was a memorial bench outside the public gardens in honor of the fellow who used to sell his photographs there. One Friday night some jager-swilling knuckle walker decided to snap the top of it off. Fucking morons.
Do you own the pole across from the CBC radio building? Did you require a permit to hang the item from the/your pole?
What the hell did you expect? Sniff arts-n-crafts glue much?
Wasn’t there a bitch last year, very much like ths? Stuff that was hung around the Citadel.
The reality OB is, if anything of any value is left unattended, it will be stolen or vandalized.
But why is that such a given? Someday, I hope we life in a world where beauty and thoughtfulness are all around without being destroyed! *sniffs more glue and goes prancing among the flowers, stopping to pat the unicorns and tickle the leprechauns under the rainbow*
Honestly though, leaving these things out attached to a telephone pole, you should expect one or two of them to be destroyed by asshats.
I’ve seen these crafts down by the train station on Hollis, and thought how neat that someone would do this kind of thing in all sweetness and innocence, in a city where pointless destruction is a bit of a hallmark.
I would consider one smashed setup the cost of doing business in a place populated by drunks.
I live beside there, and was told to go eff myself by a drunken yob who was pissing on my building.
ralmn – it’s because there are so many asshole out there, there are so many assholes out there because we’re not allowed to kill them any more ;(
I thought that shit was junk. Congrats to the garbage truck that took it away.
LMFAO Ralmn. Testors airplane glue is a harsh mistress.
NOW, WHO STOLE MY TRACKER, SEA KING, FORD TRIMOTOR & NORSEMAN from the Nautical Room?
No, smartass, the SEA KING did NOT crash. For one thing, I didn’t find enough wreckage.
John, you mean there was no baling wire or elastic bands in the area.
LOLz. One rotorblade and some chewing gum which means nothing because fuckpig buttmonkeys are always leaving their gum on our floor, shelves, stairs etc. I once found a big wad of bubbleicious stuck to the cover of one of Pierre Berton’s
‘Canada Is Interesting” snoozefests. Any other author and I might have been upset.>; )
Open season on assholes! Shoot to kill, my pretty! ;p

You could nail a rat’s asshole to a post and some dingus will stuff it down the front of their pants.
You should EXPECT it, sure, but that doesn’t mean you can’t bitch when it happens.
I’m glad I live in such a great building — you can hang things on your door/beside the door and people leave it alone. There’s a bus driver that lives in my building who leaves a table with candy out at halloween and easter and no one steals it! The patios in the back of the building are perfectly accessible to anyone and no one ever steals anything on the patios (people put tons of plants and patio furniture, etc… out there – it looks so nice!). Too bad everyone couldn’t be as neighbourly 🙁
I love these crafts! There’s a poll of them on the corner of Bilby and Agricola outside the fishing shop. It was destroyed once but they made a new one. Any idea who’s making these crafts? I “bought” one myself now that the box looks more secure. Unfortunately to some, it just becomes a “challenge accepted.”
An honor box works for various business ideas like snack trays at an office. I think its risky to do them outside on polls. If it works most of the time but not all of the time, then quit yer bitchin.
If one of these appeared outside my house or business I would knock it right off the pole. They are tacky and ugly as hell. As far as I can see it, the vandals are just removing eyesores.
