It’s called the Quiet Zone for a reason. I went there because I couldn’t concentrate at home around my housemates. I didn’t come to listen to you yak, in your regular decibel voices, about which teachers are assholes or not. It makes it even worse because I have ADD. The rest of the library is like a goddamn cafeteria so there’s no reason for your group to be in the area with all the study carols.

did you have to take the buds out of your ears to hear them o.p.?
Bahawhawhawhaw – shit, I had the same prob at the SMU library in 1973. Stick some campus newsrags in your ears.
Don’t mind me, but’s it “carrel”, not “carol”. Hey, you’re a student, maybe you’ll take this in the spirit it’s meant.
“Carols” on university property – Shiva H. Vishnu, somebody’s going to file a human rights grievance.
Quiet zone….damn, Halifax could use more of these.
Did you ask the yappers to stfu? Did you go see the front desk staff?
before you bitch here, you might want to try either route 🙂
I think I might be the only person who finds the tinny ringing in your ears when you wear ear buds even worse than the noise you’re trying to block out.
My thoughts exactly, PK.
