Its important to recognize that yes, gender shaming is bad, but, gender shaming doesn’t just happen to “cis white men”, its not often that someone is harmed (to any degree) strictly on the basis of being “cis male”, atleast not as often as other gender identities . I think its also important to consider that when men and boys get harmed with respect to their gender its usually because society does not value a man/ boy who is not masculine/ powerful/ alpha. . Im not advocating gender shaming, but if cis-male hurts, then you are only beginning to know the struggle of women and queer folk alike. —<3

Replace “white male” with any other group in a gross generalization and you would be labeled a racist or sexist or bigot of some kind.

Right in this very publication 2 weeks ago, pages apart, an article about how women are treated unfairly, etc … then an article about “dad-bod”. Now, I am no Mark Whalberg, but that has zero effect on my mental health. However, it might for others. As long as it’s acceptable for publications like this one to cry victim out of one side of their mouth, while berating the other side with terms such as ‘dad-bod’, ‘man-splaining’, etc, I will not be vocal about your cause, nor willing to conform to your agenda.
I treat everyone with the same respect that I desire from them (unless they, personally, have disrespected me) and will continue to do so. I don’t require the coast as a moral compass, nor do I accept the assertions of the 3rd wave feminists as an accurate portrayal of my character. And neither should you.
