So I’m in my third trimester of pregnancy and the woman who bought the townhouse next door to me just told me it’s my fault that her contractor called me a fucking cunt multiple times and threatened to kill me, within earshot of my other child, because I had politely called the contractor to tell them that some of her/their debris had just come through my kitchen wall. We’ve had debris come in through holes they had made in our walls by mistake on several occasions now, and had been told by them to tell them as soon as it happened to prevent any problems that could stem from it. Wow. Who raises people nowadays, seriously? The police thought pretty differently about the threats than Miss Sociopath did anyways. See you in court chicky. —Used to Having Awesome Neighbours

  1. Do you live on Elm Street? If yes, I think you and your neighbour need to seriously duke it out.

If not, good luck with the psychos.

Oh, and your pregnancy really doesn’t have anything to do with this bitch, I don’t think… please people, stop pulling out your education level, pregnancies, income, status symbol vehicles every time you post! If your bitch is about psychotic neighbours, bad treatment at restaurants, bikers or dog poo, let it be about that, not about “me, me, me”! /rant.

  2. Your neighbours renos are comming through your kitchen wall???!!!

    Can you say incompetent contractor?
Threaten to sue; mental anguish and suffering, cost of clean up and potential dammage done to your unborn child from the demolition/construction contaminants. That should get their attention.

  3. Wow, the J O Y S of apartment living !
Which you’re about to add to ! !
What a wonderful sounding enviorment to bring a baby !!!
    ;
& Please spare me any so called difference between condo’s , semi detached, townhouse or whatever WONDERFUL SOUNDING EVOCATIVE wording the real estate people came up with, to call large groups of people living in tiny rooms in the same building !
    But ,
    But,
But…we own those 4 rooms over there ! lol

  4. OP here,
Yea, I’m totally going to sue them. The reason I’d mentioned the pregnancy thing is:
    1. Who threatens a pregnant woman’s life and then tries to justify it? It’s bizarre behaviour at best.
    2. Some of the debris coming into my kitchen is dust from 100 year old lead paint that they had sand blasted off of their walls. They had their paint tested, I had their paint tested-It’s totally leaded. Which is super not good for a fetus, or well, anyone, for that matter.
    Ugh.

  5. FC&C.

I know this isn’t the States, but the “EPA requires individuals conducting lead-based paint activities (abatement, inspection, and risk assessment) in target housing and child-occupied facilities to be trained and certified.”

Maybe you and your family should move to a good Hotel till the renos are finished, and have your neighbour pay for it of course.

  6. Screw that bitches…I’m playing the pregnancy card for the next 14 weeks!! Then I’m playing the c-section card for 6 weeks of recovery…followed by the sleepless nights card….I’m milking this shit as long as I can! JK!!!!

  7. Thanks Hugo. 🙂

For the people on here who are all cranky about someone being concerned about being pregnant while exposed to hazardess conditions-Such as threats and toxins-Seriously WTF? Is that really something to complain about? Did someone really call it playing the pregnancy card? Weird.
Lead paint is really dangerous to developing fetuses, so we’re trying to do something about the work next door as it’s not so much about us, but about what could happen later on as a result of exposure.
I’m kind of concerned for my neighbour’s nephew as well, as she has had him working over there without a mask on or anything blasting the lead paint and he’s like ‘maybe’ 14?

  8. No lawyer is going to take that loser of a case. Close your window if health and cleanliness are so important. And if you’re called a cunt then it’s you who asked for it probably.

  9. That is really awful OP! I sincerely hope you work it out and sue their asses or get something out of it. And I can totally see why you mentioned your pregnancy-I don’t know why a few others were confused. Pregnancy is freakin’ tough on the body and is stressful enough without horrible neighbours and threatening contractors! Good luck with everything 🙂

  10. I’d sue the contractor, not the neighbour. She sounds like a bitch, but it’s not her fault the contractors are fucking morons.

  11. without a mask, nephew, 14, WTF!!!!
Maybe I’m overstating, but lead is as dangerous as asbestos ffs.

Seriously, if this were a military situation, you can bet your sweet ass, that lead dust would be treated in the same manner as any toxic hazard. Fuck, what are people thinking?
