I’m a young mother myself (early 20’s) and a lot of friends/acquaintances on Facebook have kids also. I love seeing cute candid pictures of your kids, I really do. What I don’t need to see however is a picture of your 9 month old daughter, apparently naked with her hands in your furry sex toy handcuffs. REALLY? WHAT THE F**K IS WRONG WITH YOU!? Have you ever heard of child molesters? I hope to God you have your privacy settings set to friends only so that no pervert sees that picture and hunts down your poor child. Apparently you think this is “cute” I don’t know how many times you were dropped on your head as a baby but I’m guessing it was more than once or twice. I know some of you may say I am overreacting but come on, that’s disgusting even if she had clothes on. I reported it to facebook as pornography and not to be a b***h but to protect that poor kid since her mother obviously isn’t. —Grossed Out

  3. I have to agree. I don’t think this is appropriate at all. I’m petrified of pedophiles…..or anyone that would ever harm my son. I think it just comes with being a parent. Good for you for reporting it. I wouldn’t have had the nerve.

Wow, I’d be surprised if the parent isn’t in danger of being charged with creating child porn, not because I think the picture was taken with that in mind (I’m pretty sure absolutely nothing was in their mind at the time), but because child porn laws are extremely severe to the point where teenagers have ended up on sexual offenders lists and have faced child porn charges for as little as forwarding a picture of another teenager that was sent to them on their phone and even for taking naked pictures of themselves. That’s right kids, in some places if you aren’t of legal age and you take a naked picture of yourself, YOU are a child pornographer.

    Keep in mind I didn’t bother to look up child pornography charges in Nova Scotia specifically… because I’m lazy. I think OPs friend should look it up though. Or maybe OP should have seriously considered talking to their friend about it and explaining why they think they should delete it before reporting it and potentially ruining their friends reputation and life.

    Nah I kid, I have no idea what I’m talking about. I, mean this could happen if you were in the right state in the US. Anyone an expert on child porn laws in NS?

  7. On second thought, I take back the “you should have talked to the friend first” On the off chance of actually being a child pornographer, probably isn’t, but the potential harm (no matter how slim) done to innocent kids is too horrible to not report and have investigated, just in case.

  10. This is just sick…. and another example supporting the case for either mandatory castration or adoption of children born into these kinds of situations. The fact that any uneducated, naive and ignorant chick can get herself knocked up and then figure she knows how to parent WHILE being supported by our tax dollars shows just how fucked the world has become. I am not using the term uneducated to imply that anyone without an education is in this category… this refers to ALL-ROUND education through schooling, experience and common sense. I know there are girls out there having babies and making honest attempts to provide the best life for their kids with what they have, and I commend them. But when they refer to their babies as sexy, or figure that anything they do won’t directly or indirectly affect their children…. that’s when I resent the system and the society we are forced to be a part of. I am no wonder parent and I have made mistakes but come on….. anyone who doesn’t understand that kids need stability, constant protection and love while going through their early years deserve to be signing the papers allowing a worthy couple the joy of raising a child they otherwise wouldn’t have the joy of raising. Bah…….. seriously, I didn’t need to be started….. very touchy subject for me and one I can’t express my opinions on enough…. heh.

  11. My issue is women with pics of their kids on dating sites. I am trying to determine the connection (in their minds) with this choice to put their kids up on public displays and them trying to land a mate. It’s just slimy and dark in my mind.

    But don’t forget we don’t have to apply to be parents. If that was the case and there was a “suitable to parent” decision check box at the bottom of the questionnaire, perhaps we wouldn’t have to be addressing naked babies in fur handcuffs.

    but hopefully not, anyway, i can relate. a friend had pics of her little one up there awhile ago, and next thing you know, they were on someone else’s profile. they copied them to their own fucking profile mind you. and are in no way elated, or even know each other. i was at her place last year, when she found them by accident, while searching thru people that wanted her to add them. this guy by the way, lived in china.

  19. I saw something just as bad once on FB. A teen mom had a bunch of picks of her kid up. In one of the pics, the baby looked naked or at least had no shirt on and the ‘mom’ was pushing the kids chest together so it looked like she/he had boobs….WTF! I couldn’t believe it.

    I think you did the right thing, OP. I wish I had been so blunt when I noticed a woman who used the name ‘Babygirl’ as her moniker to attract men. Alarms went off immediately for me (she had children) but I thought, who am I to say? Needless to say, attract men she did, and years later, after marrying one of them, the man she attracted was outlawed from being around her children after situations arose which caused her community to step in. So, better early than late when it comes to protecting any and all children.

    The baby in the microwacve, sick joke but harmless. Kids hanging up side down, I seem to remember liking it when I was small.

    But, half-naked dad having a beer, pole dancing toddlers, posing with wild animals, how fucking stupid and sick do people have to be?

    So, I think some more, and realize that this isn’t anything new, people have been treating their children like “things” since the begining of time. It’s jut because we live in the Digital Age, that we are seeing a lot more of it.

    And rationalizing that type of behaviour by saying “well ma & pa did it…” or “the baby doesn’t mind”, is bullshit.
