Halifax landlords—stop being slum lords! Every place I’ve lived in has had rats, utility issues or a bed bug problem. Ive paid my rent and have had all my included services cut. Dude it’s not my fault you went bankrupt. Don’t take it out on me by shutting off my power for over two weeks now…I’d literally be better off camping. —Cold/Hungry/Powerless Tenant

I agree! Fix up these shitpits. My slumlord also cuts off the heat from June to Sept. This summer has been especially chilly so far and I’m freezing too. Also, the black mold is everywhere! Everything I touch falls apart… towel racks, oven knobs, door knobs. Everything is built shoddy. The balconies are rotted. I saw my landlord pull up to the building in a brand new BMW, but yet this apartment is a shambles! When you call to get repairs, it falls on deaf ears. Nobody shows up. But these bastards have no problem taking your rent though! You pay for all the repairs when you move out in the form of your forfeited damage deposit. You never get it back when you move out because the place is a dump. Nobody fixes the wear and tear, until it’s time to rent out to someone else, and then everything is a patch job funded by the previous tenant.
