Woah easy now, let’s not get all Anglo-Franco hate-on here…besides this really should be on the COMMENTS section of the Bitch you are COMMENTING on but either way Love the Way We Bitch is not for spreading hate based on ignorance directed to groups or identifiable minorities…please keep the hate directed solely towards personal attacks and mud slinging specifically directed toward individuals.
I came on here also to respond to the subtly-racist undertones of the original post (thanks for saying it first Chris) but I gotta say:”please keep the hate directed solely towards personal attacks and mud slinging specifically directed toward individuals”Is that becoming all that this section of the coast is? There’s lots of aspects about this paper I think are great, but LTWWB is just becoming a venue for petty, childish name-calling, and in the above case hatred of identifiables. I know there are gonna be a dozen people who respond to me by saying “go hug a tree and talk about fluffy kittens if you want ya hippy, if you don’t like the vitriolic hatred I’m spewing then don’t read it …etc. etc.” (there I said it FOR you) But this is a community newspaper -it should either inform or enrich the city somehow – abunch of angry people constantly reacting to each other doesn’t do that, it’s just sad to watch, and leads to borderline hate-speech like the above.

I never knew the French (Quebecois) were considered a race… thought it was just a language and a cultural group.
@Brendan:I would have thought that:”please keep the hate directed solely towards personal attacks and mud slinging specifically directed toward individuals” was obviously a sarcastic comment on how LTWWB has “lost it’s way” and a quiet admission that I am one of many who are responsible for this and that for my part I will be endeavoring to not contribute to LTWWB’s degradation any longer.@Janet:French Canadians are certainly an identifiable minority in this country…but yes they are not a race.
Being a French Canadian myself, I’d like to say don’t paint all French Canadians with the same brush!! We are not all the same!! Sure there are some snobby French people just as there are snobby English speaking people as well! As for some of them coming off sounding “snobby”, it often is a language issue because the style is different and trying to express oneself in a language you are not used to could be perceived very differently by the receiver.Stick to the point made in the original bitch and refrain from insulting a whole other culture please.
