I have to say I slunk in my seat embarrassed when Bill Dooks took the time to be disinterest and loud at the same time in public at the opening of the Atlantic Film Festival. The appropriate thing to do at an event full of people crazy about the arts is have someone speak who is passionate about them too. A rousing crowd-connecting focus on the importance of sustaining our culture instead of a browbeater of a speech written last minute because the Premier couldn’t make it just doesn’t cut it. We all like Nova Scotia and it’s ashame you couldn’t have just said thank you. Why are the obvious sometimes overlooked in a profession where attention to your electorate is supposed to be on the fore-front of your official minds? Learn to read a crowd Dookie.
