We live in Nova Scotia where we have a medical school and not enough doctors. It is sickening to me to think I have wanted to become a doctor my whole life (one that remains in this province) and it is simply a matter of being able to afford to do it. Education for the guarantee of a doctor remaining in province seems like a good way to fix our situation.

  1. I agree 100%. People from here will probably remain here to work in the province. But, they like people from away with full wallets that make the Uni’s money. It should be mandated by government, a certain number of spots for NS-born medical students. Pay for their school through obligatory service in the province. Why our highly paid and assumedly smart politicians cannot see that is lost on me.
