Yet another holiday has come upon us and my coworkers are talking about yet another social event that I haven’t been invited to. It is awkward as fuck to have people talk about plans in front of me like I don’t exist. I’m not even mad, rather I am confused and hurt. Team players? What did I do to be treated this way?

This actually depends on whether you share similar ideologies with them or not.
From the sound of it, you seem to think for yourself and form your own thought outside of the status quo. This isn’t a bad thing to be honest. You’re probably better off 🙂

Kids: maintain a strong working relationship with your coworkers and an even stronger boundary so that those relationships don’t cross over into your personal life. Now listen to Mommy, okay? You will be happy that you did.
