YOU SUCK! I can’t believe 24 cents will put me in a higher tax bracket! I don’t even care that I can “claim most of it back next year”. That’s NEXT YEAR! I need the money now! You get a raise and somehow end up getting paid $30 less on every paycheque? Someone please explain this to me! I should at least be allowed to choose where my tax dollars go. (P.S. Why is the government giving a $32,000 tax break on a fucking YACHT? Aren’t people who own a yacht rich enough? Jesus Christ). Don’t get me wrong people! I understand that taxes are “necessary” but why should I have to work my ass off and lose half the money I make? Something too shady for me to grasp my hand around. And that GST cheque every few months just doesn’t cut it! Fuck our government, fuck our government & FUCK my 24 cent raise! —When Do I Get My Tax Break?

  1. holy shit o.p., a whole 24 cents. wow, you are going to have to pay some hefty tax on that. goddamn o.p., you should have held out, maybe you would have gotten a whole quarter.

  2. OP the government HAS to tax you because they don’t tax the corporations.

Give yourself a pat on the back. If you pay any taxes at all you’re doing more to support this nation than quite a few large corporations who pay nothing.

  3. You know what…taxing corporations the way they tax employees would bankrupt most companies.Which means no employees so I don’t see that working …Do You ?
But what should be taxed & isn’t are religious organizations.
What should be taxed & isn’t are banking institutions with multi-billion dollar yearly profits.
What shouldn’t be allowed is the NS power sweet heart deal of 160 million dollars of profit being mandated as what they are entitled to every year !
Yeah, there’s problems out there & over taxation is the biggest one. If every organization in Canada every single one didn’t have all these tax loop holes, personal taxes wouldn’t have to be so high. Because it isn’t & Government will not & cannot stay on budget.
That is why your being royally fucked over .

  4. 24 cents over what period? An hour, a month, a year? Most people get significant salary raises each year. Not 24 cents.

  5. Esposito, exactly how do you think corporations pay higher taxes? That’s right, they raise prices to cover it. When will you learn that there is one taxpayer – the individual.

  6. now why would you say that mel, you hve hurt my feelings, i’m gonna cry now, boo hooo hooo.

  7. you do pick where your tax money goes, you vote for the party whose budget mostly resembles where you want the money to go.

  8. OP let me teach you something about income tax in Canada, it is a progressive taxation. You see if you have moved into the next tax bracket, then only the additional income in the next bracket is taxed at the higher rate. See this for reference:

I know our politicians are dumb but not dumb enough to allow for people to make more money but take home less. Something is wrong somewhere. Could be CPP / EI payments have reset? That usually happens Jan 01 but just a thought?

  9. Sometimes I get the feeling that I’m adrift at sea, trapped in a lifeboat with a group of imbeciles who have decided, after much discussion, that the best way to get the water out of the bilge is to drill a hole in the bottom of the lifeboat.

They “know” this because, as the brightest imbecile has pointed out, that’s how bathtubs work and the lifeboat is certainly shaped like a bathtub.

  10. Well Bob, I can tell that until this goshdarned election is over, you are going to be just as much fun to hang out with as a dog shitting peach pits. You offered the aggrieved landlord from an earlier bitch some very good advice which you may want to consider taking yourself.
Whatever the outcome you will no doubt consider yourself to have been proven correct in which case the only remaining question is this.
Do you want your statue constructed out of pressed hemp-crete or reclaimed biosolids?

  11. OP. Give your 24 cents to the panhandlers. But PDG will get pissed off with the pennies. No offense PDG.

  12. Even better:

Just pump in your gross weekly/bi weekly/monthly (whenever you get paid) income and your province and BAM you get your provincial and federal tax deductions along with your CPP and EI contributions. Just add in what your employer takes off for pensions, RRSPs, medical benefits, etc… and you get a pretty accurate picture of what your take home pay is per pay period.
