Maybe less of a bitch and more of a musing–I wonder if the powerless rage that results in barely literate curse-filled rants and threats here might actually be channeled into societal good? Perhaps a reasonable face-to-face conversation, where possible, might get better results than anonymous car-keying and head-punching threats. Besides getting better results in individual situations, it would result in a more civil city and society. Instead, this column seems to feed people’s rage. I understand that a face-to-face discussion (not confrontation) is not always possible, but we seem to be better as a society at provoking anger than defusing situations.
Since the LTWWB column became this live-post online thing, the quality seems to have degenerated remarkably–perhaps a sign that editing the bitches was a very good thing.

You are so naive that it’s really sad. Real people don’t always have ‘reasonable face-to-face conversations’ as much as you’d like that ideally. This column is a venting avenue, nothing more, nothing less. All the threats made are more wishful thinking than something that will actually happen. To be scared of this ‘futile rage’ to just too fucking funny – stop your drama queen worrying – a more civil city and society just ain’t gonna happen so suck it up, sweetheart.
Dude, the only reason I made an anonymous threat about keying a car was because the fuckers who paintballed me were IN the goddamned car when they did it (and I was in my security guard uniform). What else could I do other than bitch about it? Like Ellbee said, it’s venting. Getting back at someone who got my pants dirty is not worth losing my job over. I gave them a long, bored look at the time; that’ll have to be good enough.
With ya on that one, Ellbee. None of us are really crazy. We have to smile like shit during our daylight hours, let the dark side vent. Don’t look over your shoulder or your paranoia is going to catch up with ya.
Actually, I think this poster is bang-on about one thins. The bitches in the paper are (were) actually funny, but the online ones are mostly either pathetic or obnoxious.
