Saying I want to make new friends is like saying I want to make banana muffins and then sitting back, waiting for the muffins to magically appear. Invite someone you want to know better: A) to go on  a FREE gallery crawl—there’s lots of free art to explore in Halifax and art stimulates conversation. Or B) to come to your home for a spaghetti dinner – cheap and most people love it. Or C) to go on a hike at/on one of the many parks/trails around Halifax. The key words here are “invite someone”.
