To the person who was in front of me this morning on Chebucto – who is often on that road at the same time I am. We have to… I dunno, SHARE the road. I know that the NDP passed a law saying that I have to give a metre between me and you if I’m going to pass you, but do you have to actually drive down the middle of the lane, blocking 10, 20, 30 cars behind you, while your overly chunky thighs struggle to pedal your cheap bike forward at about 10km/h? Do you really have to do that? And I should give you a bit of advice: when you want to turn right onto Connaught, you might want to be on the right side of the lane, instead of nearly in the middle of the left lane. Where did you learn to bike? In some village that bans cars and allows people to just do whatever they want? I’m not only writing this bitch cause I’m so pissed off at you each morning, but also for your own safety. Someone will run you over one day, and it won’t be for their lack of noticing you, it’ll be because of your unending STUPIDITY! When you’re on the bike, you’re a vehicle, not a fast-rolling pedestrian. Fucking idiot. —Are You Blind?

… and the war rages on.
Call in a drone attack on ALL cyclists.
does the person seem terrified op? i don’t know, perhaps they just started biking or they didn’t learn to share in kindergarten
As far as I know, by road rules, bikes can take up a lane if there is no space for them on the road and the people in cars just have to deal with it. Now if there is space and this person just doesn’t know road rules, yes that’s worth complaining about and one day they will get hit doing a right hand turn.
I think people bitch mostly about bikes because no Transformer was ever something as fruity as a bicycle.
here’s a rig they should get to try on….
it’ll hold…

There are good reasons for cyclists to take the middle of the lane sometimes — cars parked on the street ahead, planning on turning left, etc. Some drivers expect cyclists to move to the side of the road whenever there’s a gap in the parked cars but that’s dangerous when it comes to merging back in.
Enough with these stupid anti-cycling bitches or I’m going to write one about impatient suburban commuting drivers who treat my street as an inconveniently narrow freeway inbetween their work and home.
He’ll learn his lesson the hard way one of these days. What the fuck is up with cyclists and their false sense of entitlement? They think their righteous 2-wheeled heap of metal gives them priority over anyone on the road…get the fuck out of my way, the road isn’t for you.
crixus it’s illegal to ride on the sidewalk in Nova Scotia, so yes, the roads are for cyclists.
Donairious BIG that would be a GREAT addition to the next (of course there will be more) Transformers movie! 😀 Also some sort of snooty little smart car transformer 🙂
@Calvin and when have cyclists given a shit about laws? Meanwhile they weave in and out of traffic, use crosswalks, sidewalks whenever it can make their commute faster…It sure is nice to bring up the law when it suits your needs.

OP, it’s obstruction of traffic if they are holding up that many cars and only going 10km/hr. Report their chunky, cellulite ass.
Learn to drive.
All types of slow moving traffic – including bikes – have the right to take the lane when ever, where ever, its is not safe to stay to the right.
If drivers set a new standard at complying to the 1m rule, it will encourage cyclists to move over more without the fear of getting boxed in.
