Are there really any jobs in this city? I mean real ones that are permanent with benefits. Why are the same jobs posted over and over again? I have 1,000 applications out there and not one call. If you want people to live in NS and pay taxes and grow the city you have to have decent jobs for people and please don’t ask me to fill another hour long application out with ridiculous screening questions. Call me and meet me and then make up your mind based on me not what someone else’s distorted opinion was of me at the last place I worked. I left there for a reason and that was to find something better only to find out now they are still holding me back. When I hired people I never called references because I know I can train anyone with the right attitude that wants to learn. —Are these jobs really available NS?

A Stats Canada report came out naming Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia as the lowest paid workforces in Canada. Now that’s some Maritime pride for ya!!! We have employers here that complain about having to pay the increase in CPP, let alone make sure their employees have benefits to ensure their teeth dont fall out and they can afford insulin or glasses. How fucking embarrassing!!! A government that gives themselves the very best of wages and benefits, while they sell their constituents health and welfare for corporate, campaign donations.
^^^Well said!!
So you quite a job before you had a new job and now you’re bitching about not having a job?
Believe it or not, if you’re unhappy with your current job it is not only possible, but recommended to look for another job while YOU STILL HAVE YOUR CURRENT JOB
DEY DERK ER DERRRR
Why are you using them as a reference if you know they’ll give you a bad reference???
You’re upset that potential employers check references? Wow. Good luck with that!
