Rape culture is, unfortunately, still prevalent in HRM thanks to the cops.
The HRP and RCMP spend more time giving out traffic tickets than they do investigating and prosecuting the men who rape women.
I should know:Â I was a victim of date rape. I immediately repored the rape to the police, gave a formal videotaped statement including the name, address and phone of number of my rapist along with text messages where he confessed to raping me. The police, however, couldn’t be bothered to go to his house to question him even though they assured me that they believed me. Then people wonder why the victim rarely reports being raped.
—Rape is a serious crime and should be punished

You should go to the media with this and not post here!
If what you’re saying is accurate and what actually happened, it’s a crime and the authorities are refusing to act. The actual media will help you. Not social media. Get your story on the news and things will change.
I agree with Randomness’ post. Try credible local media like https://www.halifaxtoday.ca/ or https://www.halifaxexaminer.ca/ – and don’t forget Frank magazine – they love stuff like stories about shitty cops.
Definitely take this to the media! You deserve justice!
