So is DriverHer a service for women to protect  or help them feel more safe in this city? OR is it an outlet for people who hate men? Naturally I’d have assumed the former, your consistent misandry in literally every article you publish convinces me of the latter.  —Suggested Title: Clickbait “Reporter” is Coast Norm

  1. If our legal system didn’t blame the victim instead of believing the evidence and witnesses then this wouldn’t be an issue. If men didn’t rape or sexually assault women this wouldn’t be an issue. If women felt comfortable walking outside alone at night, this wouldn’t be an issue. This is not man-hating, this is the world we live in. Although I don’t have a need to use this service, as a woman, I am glad it exists because there IS a need for it. If you don’t think so maybe you need to chat with a woman.

  2. hating men is okay because who the fuck cares. if you don’t want to be hated then do better, maybe.

  3. You don’t need to make valid arguments as long as you’re unapologetic in your ignorance.

  4. you don’t have to critically examine your arguments and consider the possibility that your opinion might be wrong if you’re unapologetic in your complacency with the status quo

  5. And the next thing you know, there’ll be a woman suing the government because the mean old military wanted her to leave her baby at home and go to war like a soldier. In case you didn’t get the memo… THAT’S THE FUCKING SACRIFICE!!!!!

  6. @smorespoptart I hope you’re being sarcastic, the world isn’t your gender studies program. Misandry is real and blaming all men for the actions of a few is a great example of it.

  7. LOL you’re one of those types, let me guess you have taken gender studies. I gave you an example in your own words you give no evidence, obviously you can’t be reasoned with. Take your 3rd wave intersectional BS somewhere else.

  8. So if a woman wants to feel safe on her trip to her chosen destination, while paying money for a service that takes her where she wants to go and has a woman driver because it makes her feel more SAFE, then we should deny her this because it offends the egos of the misogynistic men who complain about this kind of business existing and making money while also creating jobs for women.. ummm.. ok then.. makes absolutely no sense to me at all. I don’t think it’s about hating men, it’s about making changes in our society to protect innocent PEOPLE (because that’s what women are).

Ps.. I do not think for one second that all men are misogynistic. I know many good men who treat women as equals. Just wanted to make that clear.

  9. I am 100% for this service as I’ve stated elsewhere on this site already. My gripe is with the constant jabs at men and white people from a certain ‘reporter’. Yeah, it’s fashionable to slur and spew hate toward these groups, doesn’t mean it’s right or should be accepted as normal behaviour. Nearly every article you read by this person has some undertone of ‘men are shit’. That is what this bitch is about, not the service itself. In fact, I think this ‘reporter’s’ article was so focused on being against men that it hurt the actual business/subject of the article in the process. DriverHer wants to be seen and accepted as a legitimate business and I think they should be. DriverHer does not want to be seen as ‘against men’, and I don’t believe they are — until someone with an audience puts that spin on it.

I am as disgusted with the outcome of the rape trial of mr. cab driver as the next person and I’ve never had a female cab driver, currently that option doesn’t exist here. I see enormous value to the women of this city in having access to this service and, more importantly, the ability to feel safe on their commute home. But instead of writing a pro-DriveHer article, it was decided by this ‘reporter’ to write an article deriding men and focusing on a couple assholes who interrupted an interview, I guess. Before that, Vincent Coleman was just barely good enough to have his name on a ferry, and the list goes on.
