I don’t mind the bus at 7am, I always get a seat. But, at 4:30 it is standing room only. Some of you don’t mind, but the words ‘ cattle car’ come to mind. –2nd Class Citizen

  1. But Citizen, if taking public transit could somehow be made a pleasureable experience, ridership would grow. And, if the business model of Metro Transit and Local 508 are anything to go by, NOBODY wants that.

  2. Bitch, please. In Japan they have transit employees whose sole job is to cram as many people on the bus/train as possible. A full Metro Transit bus is roomy in comparison.

  3. I’d have to say that if the bus was full, Metro Transit is doing something right. If they were that terrible they wouldn’t have a full bus. Now if someone was stinky or had loud music coming out of their headphones I would want to hear your complaint.

Now I went to see a movie the other night, place was packed. The words “cattle theatre” did not come to mind.

  4. So I just googled the shit of “cattle car”. The proper term outside of Britain would be “stock car”, and they seem to be more spacious than Metro Transit. At least the ones in developed countries. So OB, your treated worse then if you were on a “stock car”. How’s that make you feel?

  5. Many a soldier went to both World Wars in the infamous 40 & 8s; freight cars rated for Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux.

  6. must be lowQ day.

so OP, lets have transit add umpty buses to the rush hour runs so you can stretch out in comfort, then you can complain about the cost going up.

and how does a full bus make you a second class citizen? are there empty buses that you are not allowed to take? transit buses with bar service or spas on board that you are not allowed to take because of your postal code/race/sex/shoe size?

have there always been idiots like this? did the internet just give them carte blanche to bleat their whiny grievances? I was hoping this was just troll dangling some bait, but fear it’s an actual human feeling ‘deprived’ .

  7. Are you serious? In what city is metro NOT crowded? Anywhere else, is going to be MORE crowded. Unless you move to a small town that has no metro at all.

  8. haha how cute is this? You think transit in this city, in this part of the world, is crowded. Adorable lil bumpkin 🙂

  9. Lolllll is this for real? ‘Wah i can’t get a seat on da bussss! Wahhh!’

Try visiting any other transit system in the world during rush hour.

It’s called MASS transit, not your personal chauffeur, OB.

  10. Just work a little later if that bus is still running then. You might have a bit more room.

  11. Damm OP, you DO enjoy your sense of ENTITLEMENT dont you??

You think its crowded here, go TRY taking a northbound Yonge Line subway train from downtown Toronto on a weekday between 2:30-7pm…

even the Connors sardine packers down in Blacks Harbor NB dont pack them in as tight as they do in Toronto!!

  12. let’s trade transit horror stories. try Vancouver’s skytrain at anytime during the 6am to 2200 rush ‘hour’ . just try to get OFF the train as the stampeding horde rushes in. no one gives an inch. i was at the stage of stabbing feet with my pointed tip umbrella, hard, to get them to give way. i was no one’s ‘honourable ancestor’ so was invisible. i did not like the way i was behaving. i almost kiss the ground around here. the first time someone said ‘excuse me’ passing in the aisle at the grocery store i almost kissed THEM.
