So a day was good, until my hour of hell yesterday. Where after I made it home I realized that I had left my wallet on the 59 Colby, so off I ran to try and catch the bus on its return.

So there I waited for the bus, when I hear a nice thud. Looking around, my cellphone had fallen out of my pocket and the screen had cracked on the nice hard concrete.
Since I had missed the bus I began the walk home on the path I usually take, when a guy standing on the balcony of an apartment building yells at me to “Get off its fucking private property!”

Finally I made it home, however I am still looking for the wallet and would appreciate if someone turned it in. The only real issue with it was that both pieces of ID point to different places in HRM, neither of which I currently live at.

All in all it was one hell of an hour.

  1. damn, I’ve had those days… everything going well until you get one crappy event after another in succession.

I forgot my wallet one day at home and had only 2.50 on me for lunch…
so I thought I’d take a bus home, grab it, walk back to work and still have 15 mins or so of my lunch break to get some food. walking home and back would render my hour completely gone so this was about the best plan I could come up with.

went down to catch a bus thinking how often they run, I’d be on in a jiffy… 1 or 9 would do… after 5 mins I started to get impatient as my time was ticking away so I just grabbed the next one going in roughly the right direction and would get off when it started to veer away rather than towards my home. Hopped on the “Downtown” 6 @ Scotia Square…. only to have it turn a block up at parade square and then take me down to the water and back in front of scotia square again and up gottigen. I live in south end near smu. Needless to say it was over half my break gone, I was farther than if I had just stayed at work, now had a quarter to my name and I still hadn’t eaten a thing. Oh, don’t forget the tour of downtown and wasted 2.25…. and had to then walk back to work.

up to that point, it was a nice, sunny Friday and work was slow… then it became a Shitty ass Friday and I was grumpy and hungry throughout.

So all-in-all, fear not as it happens to everyone.

  2. Even if you get your wallet back, OP, get new debit cards and new credit cards because while someone might not rip you off right away, their game is to usually wait about 6 months or so so you think no one has got your account numbers and then BAM! they clean you out…

This really sucks, I gotta say, OP. I hope it doesn’t cause you too much of a headache in the end 🙁
