Your dog was clearly nervous being walked on a crowded street. You weren’t helping by swearing loudly at her every time she got distracted or strayed from a straight line. But your verbal abuse didn’t end with the dog. A bystander turned to look and I believe you said something like “What are you looking at? I’ll hit you just like I’ll hit her!”
A calm voice and a pat on the head might have helped, or maybe some gentle correction…but I suspect she probably winces each time your hand comes near her.
Shadow and the concerned public don’t deserve your abuse, and YOU don’t deserve to have a dog.

That’s really sad. The thought of that poor dog shrinking away from her hand literally brings tears to my eyes.
I am by choice nonviolent, seeing someone abuse a helpless animal is a sure fire way to get me to take a break from my normal behaviour. The only thing I can think of that will set me off quicker is to be harming a child or threatening me . Unlike the person refered to I wouldn’t bother talking, to that P.O.S. female , I’d just knock her the f^(# out.
