To all the smokes who are upset over the smoking ban: Get over it! No one wants to smell your stank breath or tobacco smoke. You are getting butt-hurt over nothing. You can’t walk down the street and drink a beer, so why be allowed to smoke a smoke? Maybe take it as a clue: The government is trying to save your lives. Smoking is bad for you anyway. Go smoke in your home, away from my lungs.

  1. I didn’t realize that smokes smoked smokes. I wonder how that works? Is it a form of cannibalism?

    Welcome to Reefer Madness folks!

  2. Here’s a clue for you – we really don’t care about your lungs. Not one bit. Nor are we gonna end up following this bogus bylaw.

  3. “Get over” yourself

“The government is trying to save your lives” HA!!.. LOL

You can “walk down the street and drink a beer” in other freer countries.. what’s the problem?

    Get “a clue” kid.

  4. I wish we could walk down the streets and have a beer without being pestered by the police and wasting their time.

  5. @Nay.. you can.. big McDonalds Cup, ice in the bottom, then can of Beer, then some more ice on top, lid on, then straw down through the top and into the can. Beer stays frosty and concealed.

  6. Well, if these comments show anything, it’s how arrogant and disgusting people can be about their habits. It must be nice to be able to smoke cigarettes and care nothing for the health of others. You’ve totally restored my faith in Halifax being a decent city – in case you can’t tell, I’m being sarcastic. And the worst of it is that most smokers flock to the public transit terminals! So for all us folks who have no choice but to wait at the terminals, we have to be surrounded by your smoke stink because you’re too selfish to move or blow in a different direction. It’s especially endearing when you do it in the vicinity of small children and pets.

  7. It’s not like it has made any difference anyway. The fools who prefer to pollute their lungs are still out there and don’t seem to be any fewer in number.
