4 ways in the south end need to be replaced by lights…

Ever tried to make it through this area when the Universities and schools are in? It’s a bloody nightmare!

They now have a police cruiser sitting on Young Avenue in a morning just waiting to pounce on some poor tool who doesn’t obey the rules.

No, I didn’t get a ticket – just watched as some poor noodle got one. —Henry Ford

  1. The lights at University and Robie are insane. Thankfully the other four-ways are normal. That place, in the short time I ever spent there, was definitely stressful to watch and trust going through.

  2. some just suck though… like queen and south.
    I HATE that place.

and I doubt queen and morris really needs a light. it seems to run nicely.

same with south park and inglis…

I guess they just picked and chose not half bad really.

  3. and if they weren’t there, and you got smacked, you would whine and moan on here, right o.p.

  4. I have nightmares about Queen and South, and I don’t even *drive*. I avoid crossing the street there. *twitch*

  5. Inglis and South Park wouldn’t be THAT bad if people didn’t figure they can cut off the busses because HAY! they’re just busses and HAY! they obviously have no rights when it comes to the rules of the road.

I don’t drive a bus, but it irks me every time a bus gets cut off there (usually because I’m *on* said bus).

  6. 4 way stops work great so long as everyone knows how to use them. I hate that they replaced the 4-way stop and south & queen with stupid lights.

  7. That’s a notorious intersection at Young/Inglis. Pedestrians don’t even look….they just walk like zombies. Hell they even walk into the side of your stopped car. A lot of drivers don’t even notice the stop signs and drive right through. And buses….those fucking things just hold up traffic and expect cars to give way so they can turn.

  8. The four way stop that frightens me the most is the Queen/Morris one. Haha. I have no idea how many times I’ve almost been run over (yes, I look before I go, and I know and the drivers should know that pedestrians have the right of way), or how many times I’ve been in a car (not the driver) and almost run someone over. Flippin’ ‘ell.

Inglis and South Park is also worrisome, particularly when busses are trying to take those vicious turns. I’m judging the car drivers, not the bus drivers. Everytime I’m just like, “Don’t people know that that bus is going to need a waaay wider turn?”

  9. Carcentric cunts the lot of you …. Sorry you the single individual sheathed in a ton of steel will have to wait while the dozen individuals walking cross the street….poor baby I feel for you I truly don’t
