I’d like to think I don’t bitch a lot but I’ve just gotta get this one out. I’ve noticed this winter during a storm, at night, on the highway, a lot of drivers going cautiously slowly with their four-way flashers on. Meanwhile everyone else is driving cautiously slow. Because it’s a storm. And all those bright flashing lights are doing is blinding me and giving me a headache to go along with an already stressful drive. It’s not as tho your car is breaking down and going 30 and I’m coming up behind you at 120. Which is what I understood those hazard lights to be useful for. Please people SHUT ‘EM OFF and use them with common sense. —Blinded by the light

If youre on the highway travelling under 70 its the law to put on your 4 way flashers.
Where did you learn to drive?
^^ PUP, In fairness to the bitcher he didn’t say that the vehicles are travelling under 70. He said “It’s not as tho your car is breaking down and going 30 “. so we don’t know if they are under 70 or not – just that they are under normal highway speed.
Otherwise, your point is well taken and I suspect that a lot of drivers would not be aware of that law.
I’d be much happier if they turned on their headlights, My main beef with daytime running lights, Foggy, rainy weather and no light on… Wish the cops would ticket these fools
I was driving around town last week during the ‘storm’. Saw some clown with his 4-ways on while he drove around, to the missus I was like ‘what the fuck is that guys deal?’. Glad I’m not the only one.
While we are on the subject of flashing lights, what the fuck is the need to put strobe lights on school buses? I you can’t see a 40 foot long bright yellow bus, you shouldn’t be driving. I find them very distracting when following them at night.
If you’re driving 40 on the highway, you shouldn’t be on the highway. It’s one thing if a sudden storm hits and you’re trying to make your way OFF the highway but when everyone else is swerving around your slow a$$ in regular winter conditions, realize that you’re a hazard.
The OB appears to be the next nominee for the Darwin Awards. Really 120 in a 100 or 90 or 80 zone in the middle of a snow storm. I bet you drive a four wheel drive and impervious to the snow and ice on the roads. May you get into a single vehicle accident that will keep you off the roads for a while. What a SET, a maroon even.
Haha Common sense? Here? Right!
