Okay people, let’s discuss the difference between a “want” and a “need”.

I’m sick of browsing locale commerce websites, and seeing people saying they “need” to get things for free. I don’t care how poor you are, no one needs a leather sofa, coffee table, end tables, and a flat screen t.v.

If I come off as callous, so be it. I’m sick of listening to all these spoiled little kids who thought they could strike out on their own, only to see that they can’t afford all the things they are used to, so they beg other hard working people for them. I work my ass off for what little money I make, I donate to worthy charities, ones I find are actually deserving.

I’m not going to pay for you to get tampons at the food bank because you spend all your money going out drinking. Seriously people, grow up. —Living within my means

  1. In that same vain I commented on a chicks post on TWWL about getting a free coffee cause she was so broke , fuck people if you’re buying upscale coffee on your bank account fumes perhaps a look at your lif-style is in older

  2. I have a old buddy from school who is on welfare, drinks and smokes her ass off and complains about never being able to afford food. She’s too good for the food bank so she shakes the wrinkled ol’ titty bags at various men she knows to help her out. She also knows I won’t enable her because of this. I just fucking laugh at her sense of entitlement.

  3. Yeah I don’t get how some people can say they never have money for things, but they always seem to be able to have enough money to buy their cigarettes every couple days. Good luck paying for your meds in a few years and finding someone who gives a fuck :).

  4. Priorities are highly subjective. Same could be said for moderation.
You gotta live beyond your means to truly feel alive.

Oh, I want that! Oh, I need this! I lack an identity and this [insert product here] will complete me! I don’t even know why I want or need it, but I’ll buy it anyway!

Debt, financial problems and bankruptcy. No wonder.

  5. yeah o.p., that type of ad always gets me to wondering how much crack it will buy, when you get my stuff, if i give it away.

  6. Get with the times OP. Panhandling has gone digital. Maybe we should provide the street skells with laptops so they could work from home. Maybe then Barrington
could bounce back from resembling a Mad Max set.

  7. i could see that a web site dedicated to the “less fortunate”; you just have a auto deduct everytime some “poor soul” needs some crack or crystal they go asking for “charitable” donations and for a small percentage maybe some “good people” such as United Way the “most deserving” would be alloted the funds for such needs 🙂

  8. OP unfortunately those who are truely needy, get screwed by those who are simply greedy…& i believe the greedy out number the needy.
One needs to look no further than at Government & the “Party” system to see the Greedy out number the needy (and are IMO responsible for the ever increasing poverty)
BUT may I add, watch the so called Charities that you believe are deserving…many of these so called Charities pay their top executive 6 figure salaries ! ! !
For those of you who instead give to your church, I would ask this, why do they need massive temples, with huge upkeep costs, when they say they are all about “helping the poor” ? THe money wasted on these extravagant palaces, bullet proof limo’s world travel etc. could help MILLIONS of poor people, but in our world lip service is all most sheeple need to think someone’s actually helping !

  9. TTFN…your old buddy, is a ‘working girl’ as well as a welfare recipient, & 2 jobs is becoming the new normal for many ~;)

  10. the thing is the ’80s was the Me Generation and plenty of greed and excess was the norm, but, these were people of means ie: middle-upper middle class wage earners. This decade it seems like even the desolate and the poor want the trappings of success wtf ?

  11. Tampons are expensive, required, and get this – taxable! Drives me crazy. I never thought to include them before but now I will give a box in my next delivery to the food bank or women’s shelter.
