Then they took the merry-go-rounds. Then the steep metal slides. Now the swing sets are gone. Oh HRM, swing sets? Did you think we wouldn’t notice if they disappeared slowly, from one playground at a time? —All that’s left are the monkey bars

  1. Man, those slides hurt on a hot day! And right into the gravel at the bottom. Damn you 70s childhood!

  2. I was terrified of slides. And rollercoasters. Still am.

Come get the ones in my neighbour’s yard; that’ll shut the little fuckers up!

  3. I used to rully enjoy the outdoor gyms that HRM put around town. There was one by the old bridge in Dartmouth that has now been dismantled. Now it is nothing but a few flat cement trails and a new sign has been put up “Skateboard Park”. Puhleeze! Dat is the worst damn skateboard park I ever seen. Put the gyms back. I used to get a rully good workout outside, the wind blowing through my haiur coolin’ me down. I used to spend hours at dat place. The drivers-by used to honk they horns and yell out their windows at me. I never knew what they was sayin’ cuz I had my headphones on – but I’m perty sure it was something motivating! Oh no, what do they waste the money on, some stupid hanging cavases. Dat is some bull shit! Whoever decided on dat ‘art project’ needs a swift kick to da nuts. The city should never spend thousands of dollars on art. Spend our dollars on stuff we can actually use.

  4. What’s worse is the fact that it took them 3 YEARS to plan it out.
How much fucking time does it take to plan and put that shit up?
Cause it ain’t no 3 years, that’s for sure.
    What a mega-waste

  5. You mean that pyramid shaped thing on the waterfront? I though it was a mooring mast for blimps.

So, check it out, Mo Fool.

  6. hahaha bad dog molly I was being facetious. some on the halifax side of the bridge believe those who live in dartmouth are the entertainment.
