I was truly shocked to see a bus driver put the pedal to the metal last week on Spring Garden Road on an amber light, racing through the intersection at the Public Gardens. The light turned red before the arse-end of that bus had even entered the intersection! And it’s not the first time I’ve seen such a manoeuvre _ at that very spot. I’m now packing a pen and notepad at all times. This/these drivers need to be reported. —Soon-To-Be-Crushed

Just last night, while The Captain’s ship was cresting an off-ramp from the highway, a bus began to pass but suddenly and unexpectedly decided it wanted The Captain’s lane right then and there. Literally pushed me right into the guardrail. Some ignorant ass-hat, driving the #80 into Sackville around 6:15pm, had my tires scraping concrete curb on one side and his windows touching my mirror on the other.
The Captain’s never cursed so much in his life. It was full stop for the engines lest my vessel and I be recycled for tin cans and cat food to fill it.
Pulled out from behind and passed the bus. The Driver? Completely oblivious…
Well OB as long as you also list the rest of the CarTards, bikes, mopeds, golf carts or whatever else does the same thing all day long.
It was probably that douchebag Wheels, experiencing tuna-rush from his hourly 10 minute snack break.

I’ve been reporting this type of thing for years, especially on Tower road where there are piles of students on foot from local elementary schools and SMU. I have not seen any change in the speed of the bus on this route. Especially relevant given the recent well publicized gory death of a bike by a bus in BC a couple days ago.
