When inching ever forward in attempts to sneak through traffic to turn left onto Young Street, try not to take up the whole intersection. There are other people trying to turn left through here onto Bayers Road, and you’re blocking our lanes. Stay on your side of the yellow line!

Your bitch belongs in the complaints department of the City of Halifax…not here on the coast. The reason being, it’s a completely valid complaint!
That intersection is ridiculous, as are so many other intersections like it in the city. What they need to have is flashing turn-left-only lights in the direction of Windsor street in both directions to give left turning traffic time to clear the intersection.
It’s clear as mud and should be a simple fix – although logical order and common sense don’t seem to be the theme down at City Hall these days.
Terrible intersection by design. The Cunard, Windsor, and Chebucto intersection still takes the cake.
I don’t know who they hired for interchange designers, but it’s clear they finished school in the bottom third of their class. Even new interchanges are fucking terrible designs with choke points actually built in to kill traffic flow. Larry Uteck.accidents every. Single. Day. Bridge toll plazas that cause bottle necks only to employ the change counters. Exit ramps that aren’t even banked properly ( the exit to the roundabout by Cabelas) that, when the snow hits, are going to cause people to understeer into the curbs. Seriously, just no excuse for the poor traffic flow in this city, synchronize the fucken lights like the rest of North America, at least during peak hours. 35 minutes to go from Leons to Magazine hill via Akerley? Not cool, fucken sort it out already.
